The Berks County Conservancy is a
501(c)(3) conservation organization that has been serving the Berks County community since 1974.

Who Contributes

Our membership consists of young families, business owners, retirees, students, seniors, parents, farmers, recreational athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, naturalists, educators, sportsmen - simply those that care about our quality of life in Berks County - now and for future generations. Our land, water, history, and recreational opportunities affect each and every one of us.

Surprisingly, we have numerous out-of-state members that have family roots in Berks County. Families from California, Texas, Ohio, and elsewhere support our work in Berks. The following letter was received from a member and his family in Ohio to commend our work on Neversink Mountain:

“Dear Berks County Conservancy -

I’m so happy to see that the mountain that was my childhood playground is being protected from development. I get home to visit my mother twice a year. Most of what was farm fields when I grew up is now housing developments. It is great to still be able to walk out the front door of the house I grew up in and be able to hike up into the woods.

Keep up the good work!
