The Reading Iron Community Garden was established on the existing grounds of the Reading Iron Playground through the generous sponsorship of The Holleran Family. This site, along Laurel Street, provides local residents of this southeast Reading community with a clean, safe place to commune and share gardening ideas and produce.
With 32 individual garden plots available, this site has truly made a positive difference in this community. We value our partnership with the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO) that assists the Conservancy with garden management.
