Eisenbrown Street

The Eisenbrown Street Community Garden was one of the first sites established through our Berks Urban Greening Community Garden Program. In partnership with the local residents and Penn State Cooperative Extension’s 4H Program, the site now contains 35 individual garden plots. Approximately 1/3 of these plots are designated for children of the Migrant Education Program that visit the garden weekly throughout the summer months. We are thankful for the involvement of Migrant Education and 4H to assist the Conservancy with the maintenance of this site.

This garden played a key role in bringing members of this community together. Several years ago, it was even the site of a local wedding!
