Amanda’s Garden, located in the 600 block of South 10th Street, is our largest garden to date. With 70 beds available, this site has truly made a positive impact in this southeast community. The site is used by local residents, members of the Southeast Community Council, Amanda Stoudt Elementary students, and children of Berks Women in Crisis. The Penn State Cooperative Extension’s 4H Program utilizes the site for summer classes.
The community support for the garden has grown so much the residents have begun to tackle improvement projects on their own such as sidewalk repairs and the creation of a community patio area.
